Summary
Hello everyone, BAI first request passed and should be broadcasted by July 21 as planned.
As detailed in the first BAI voting, the $100,000 requested for the BAI project had to be split into multiple votes due to the shortage of funds on the Waves DAO. Now that the power protocol has switched to a new vesting approach and the first BAI request was approved, we can proceed with voting for the remaining amount to be sent through vesting.
The overall proposition was that the BAI team will send 100,000 BAI tokens + a 20% bonus, as well as create a child DAO with 4 million BAI tokens managed by $PWR governors. They will decide how to use these funds for any proposed BAI initiatives. All of this will be sent as soon as the BAI project receive the requested $100,000.
To ensure that the end of the vesting and funding align with the planned period for our BAI token sale, we will request 0.2 waves per block until the remaining amount is reached. This should take around 3.5 months and coincide well with the token sale time.
Even though we would be ok with it, a longer timeframe would not be optimal, since it would be better for the DAO to receive the BAI compensation not later than at the token sale time.
